2013 Wedding Favorites // Chicago Wedding Photographer

2013 was a fabulous year full of lots of love and wonderful couples who welcomed me into their lives.

I don’t know if there is a way to express what it means to me that these couples trust me to capture the most important day of their lives. Before every wedding I have butterflies in my stomach, not only because I am preparing myself for the rush of adrenaline that comes from shooting a wedding, but because I am genuinely excited for these people, who I consider friends, to celebrate their love and commit themselves to each other.

I cry at every wedding. It just happens. Sometimes it is because of sweet words I hear exchanged as the bride and groom see each other for the first time, sometimes it’s piggybacked on to the emotion everyone in the room is feeling during the ceremony, and sometimes it is in the car on the way home, as I reflect on the day (completely exhausted) and come to the realization AGAIN that I am so incredibly lucky to do this for a living.

So to all of the fabulous people you see below:  Thank you for trusting me to capture the moments of your day. You all have touched my life in some way, and I forever will hold you near and dear. I love you all!!!
