Samantha + Frank // Chicago Engagement Session

When you live in the Midwest it is always a toss up when you schedule a winter session, whether or not you’re going to have to reschedule, or suck it up for cold weather. On Sunday I woke up to my phone telling me the projected high was 40degress. FORTY DEGREES – just a simple 53 degrees warmer than it has been six days before.

Dressed in my fall jacket (because 40 degrees is WAY too warm for a down coat), I met up with Sam + Frank, and we spent the afternoon walking around a city that was eerily quiet, sharing in laughs and bonding over our shared interest in keeping ourselves safe from the wind that threatened to freeze us out on an otherwise warm day. I couldn’t have asked to spend my day any other way, and this weekend only made me all the more excited for their 2015 wedding.
