This post is going to be the first in a series of my second shooting adventures from this year.
I am so lucky to have fantastic photographer friends, and to be a part of a community that focuses on helping each other, instead of being competitive – we all have different styles, personalities, and are at different places in our careers, and we can all learn from each other. Second shooting is one of my favorite things in the world because it means I get to spend time with friends, while watching some pretty brilliant people do what they do. At the same time, it allows me to slow down, think about the shots I’m taking, and focus on how I can take what I have learned from that wedding/photographer and incorporate it into my own wedding days, overall increasing my value and what I can give to my dear clients.
This specific wedding was from earlier this spring. I got to spend the day with one of my favorite people/photographers (this is no secret, since she shot our wedding!), Erica Rose, starting with a ceremony at the Tiffany & Co. Gardens followed by a reception at the gorgeous Fultons on the River.
Brett and Diana were one of those couples that were truly a dream to photograph, as they wore their emotions and their love for each other on their sleeves, filling up the hearts of everyone around them with an immeasurable amount of joy.
Because I don’t imagine I will get another post in before the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving to you all. May you be blessed with safe travels and full bellies as you surround yourselves with the ones you hold dear.
