It’s practically the most wonderful time of the year.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back (and with them a new found sense of self control that keeps me from spending that $5 on that deliciousness every day), The regular season NFL games start tonight (have to set my lineup for my fantasy football team – what? I don’t even know what I am doing here, but I’m in a league and I’m pretty sure the prize if I win will pay for a new LuLu Lemon jacket, so I’m gonna work my butt off to take this thing), I have apple spice candles burning, all of my TV shows are starting again (Scandal, Greys, Parenthood – YES!) and it’s starting to get cooler out – oh wait. Scratch that last one – it was cool out for all of .2 seconds and now it’s climbing back in to the 80s — summer, GO AWAY, you are not wanted any more.
But seriously, I am well over these random thunderstorms that have seemed to loom over and scare my brides the past few weekends.
Saturday was one of those days. I woke up to rain pouring down, and gave practically screamed in defeat (you see, this has already happened 3 times this wedding season – the worst!). But low and behold (and the power of some serious prayer on the part of the Bride and all involved with the wedding), the clouds gave way and revealed a gorgeous blue sky, just in time for Jillian + Michael’s lake side ceremony at Promontory Point.
