It’s not very often that you have the opportunity to capture a couple committing to each other twice.
I was lucky enough to do this for Corey + Suzanne.
This made-for-each other couple wed in an intimate ceremony at city hall, January of this year, and held a formal ceremony and reception with family and friends this past Friday, at one of my favorite spots in the city, Revolution Brewery.
The day started at Corey + Suzanne’s lovely condo in Logan Square, where Suzanne’s mom helped her as she got ready to see her groom.
After an in-home first look we frolicked around Logan Square, avoiding the heat at all costs, and found a few spots to photograph the two of them before heading over to the restaurant for the festivities.
The ceremony and reception were intimate, love filled, and incredibly sentimental. You could tell that every single person who was in attendance had played a part in their lives, they honored this by playing a slide show throughout the night that included a photo of each and guest – as I watched the photos pass by, I couldn’t help but think that this was one of the most loved couples in the world. Every person there showered the couple with well wishes and genuine thanks for allowing them to be a part of such a memorable event. I felt the same; like I was able to witness a great love by being in their presence.
Logan Square is a hidden gem in the city of Chicago; in particular, this mural is a special spot for all who call Logan Square, or the city of Chicago Home.
Corey + Suzanne,
The two of you have blessed me by allowing me to be a part of your day.
I wish you nothing but the best in the wonderful life you have ahead of you, and look forward to seeing where the journey takes you.
All my love,
B
